Training , Deployment  & Utilization of Community Midwives

• 16 CMWs Schools are established in 15 Districts of the Province
• 2327  CMWs got qualified till date
• 1406 to be deployed (CMW kits with stipend PKR = 8000/- per CMW)
• 751 CMW are deployed till date and provided CMW Kits
• 170 CMWs are with (on going) bond period PKR= 8000 /- per CMW
• 434 CMWs are Under Training
• “03 Prefabricated Static Units” at Usta Muhammad, Sohbatpur and Dera Bugti

Provision of Comprehensive Family Planning Services

• Family Planning Commodities provided to CMWs with the support of PWD
• Commodities provided to the Districts with support of PWD
• Capacity building of CMWs & other HCPs on Reproductive Health & Family Planning services.

Strategic Communication for Maternal, Newborn & Child Health

• Advocacy, communication and social mobilization activities.
• Celebrations of annual international days i.e. World Midwifery Day and World Health Day
• Display & distribution of information, education and communication (IEC) materials.
• Advocacy at the community and Provincial level i.e. conducting seminars and  media campaigns

Provision of EmONC Services (Strengthening the Continuum of Care)

•     Basic EmONC through Community Midwives & referral of complicated cases to secondary Healthcare facilities (DHQ).
•     Support provided in terms of medicine & equipment  to selected

health facilities (i.e. Teaching Hospitals and DHQ).

Strengthening of Program planning, implementation, monitoring and management 

•    01 PIU (Provincial Implementation Unit) at PHD Quetta

•  16 CMW Schools Residence /Hostels
