Timely Response of MNCH Program for the Flood Prone Districts

Following commodities have been sent to four districts
1. Naseerabad
2. Sohbatpur
3. Jafar abad
4. Usta Muhammed

Commodities

1. Medicines
2. ⁠Dignity kit 150 each districr
3. ⁠Clean delivery kit 100 each district
4. Newborn kit 100 each district
5. ⁠Family planning commodities
6. ⁠5 tents to each district; CMWs can be placed in tents to perform their duty

7. CMWs are notified in the pre-fabricated static centre in Usta Mohd ( 1 pre fab) and Sohbatpur (2) total 3; In these static centres deliveries and newborn care can be carried out easily.
8. 10 Community midwives are notified for conducting Medical camps for MNCH services in the 15 districts⁠.

MNCH PROGRAM GOALS

This program is inspired by the desire of the government to reduce maternal, newborn and child morbidity and mortality. The achievement of this objective is also part of the Government's commitment as outlined in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) related to maternal and child health. The program goal is to improve maternal, newborn and child health of the population, particularly among its poor, marginalized and disadvantaged segments. The overarching program goal is to improve accessibility of quality MNCH services through development and implementation of an integrated and sustainable MNCH program at all levels of the health care delivery system.

    170 CMWs are with (on going) bond period PKR= 8000 /- per CMW
